The stated purpose

The Autism Research Institute describes the Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist (ATEC) as a way to track reported change over time. It is not a diagnostic instrument and does not establish whether a person is autistic.

Why METAMI does not embed it

Instrument availability does not automatically grant rights to reproduce, translate, adapt, store, or score it in another product. METAMI therefore provides context and sends readers to the official source.

Use the official source

Follow the Autism Research Institute's current instructions, permissions, and interpretation. Keep repeated observations and other contextual information separate from diagnostic decisions.

Limitations

A tracking checklist cannot replace a comprehensive professional evaluation.
