The same behaviour can mean different things

Difficulty staying with a task may relate to attention, sleep, stress, unclear instructions, learning difficulty, the environment, or other factors. Useful evaluation asks when the behaviour occurs, where it occurs, and how it affects daily life.

Gather useful information

Record concrete examples from home and school, the task involved, how often the pattern appears, what support was tried, and what changed. Different observers contribute different parts of the picture.

Where Vanderbilt fits

NICHQ Vanderbilt Assessment Scales may be used by professionals as one source of information. A scale alone does not diagnose ADHD. METAMI does not host, translate, or score its items.

Limitations

This article offers preparation guidance, not an individual evaluation.
